Collision is an annual tech event hosted by Web Summit each summer Toronto, Canada. Known as the fastest-growing tech conference in North America, the event attracted nearly 40,000 attendees and 1,600 exhibitors from more than 130 countries, including founders of unicorn companies, investors, startups, and media.

With record attendance this year, 45% of the participating startups were led by female entrepreneurs, around 23% were BIPOC startups, and about 12% were impact companies such as Climate Tech, Healthcare Tech, and Deep Tech, making it a very diverse lineup!

We visited and interviewed many startups during the exhibition, focusing on AI and retail tech. Here are a few companies that you may want to keep an eye on as they grow:

Align AI provides an analysis and evaluation solution for LLM-based AI chatbots.

They can analyze the actual conversation content to optimize the answers and review the learning content so that you can generate safer answers.

They are similar to Google Analytics for LLMs (such as ChatGPT), and PwC is their distribution partner.

AutoAlign AI focuses on the development and provision of AI dynamic firewalls that enable the introduction of safe, effective, and reliable generative AI. In addition to enhancing the safety of AI, it also provides insurance for generative AI.

Although it is still an early-stage company, partnerships with KPMG and NVIDIA are progressing.

AutoAlign AI was the only company of its kind that had a dedicated presentation during the event which allowed it to attract a lot of attention at the conference and throughout the industry.

Arkeo Ai provides an AI Copilot which integrates with existing CRMs like Salesforce and Hubspot, which can be used to prioritize deal closing goals from sales pipeline updates. This can help to optimize and minimize the time for a deal to be closed.
