NEW YORK, NY – October 1, 2026 – KDDI Corporation announced the appointment of Kohtaro Murasawa as President and Chief Executive Officer of KDDI America, Inc. and Telehouse America, effective immediately, reinforcing its commitment to expanding advanced ICT and digital infrastructure services across the Americas. Murasawa succeeds Satoshi Oishi, who will return to Japan to take on a new leadership role within KDDI.
Murasawa brings more than three decades of international leadership experience within KDDI, with roles spanning the United States, Europe and Japan. He has previously led global enterprise initiatives, scaled multinational customer engagement and delivered network, IoT and data center solutions for organizations operating in varied and complex environments.
Most recently, Murasawa served as Deputy General Manager of KDDI’s Public Sector and Financial Industry Business Division, where he oversaw sales operations for corporate, government and major financial institution clients. In this role, he led delivery of advanced WAN, IoT and data center solutions to highly regulated industries.
